Last night Toronto was personally introduced to A$AP Rocky and his team, and the love was definitely in the building in a sold-out night of highlight stage dives, proclamations of a purple race without black, white, or yellow segregation, and of course some trill ass live Harlem music. But if that wasn’t enough for Rocky’s first appearance in Canada, the Opera House truly rumbled when surprise guest, Drake, Mr. T-Dot himself hit the stage in continued support of all things A$AP and gave a quick but epic run through of “The Motto.”

As of late Harlem has re-emerged as a hot bed for young upcoming talent. With the Asap crew taking over daytime radio, the hip hop world is looking uptown once again to see and hear what the streets are talking about.
We sat with Harlem’s own Nakim of YHC x GFC to understand what made him, his sound, and his values different from anyone else in the game right now. “People didn’t know what the fuck i was doing out here but they knew i was grinding” states Nakim, “But when i play them that mix-tape people are surpirsed like damn I didn’t even know you were doing music and damn this shit is hot”.
After spending the last few years building up his resources and establishing his contacts Nakim has made a name for himself through the fashion world, so when he dropped his new mix-tape more than a few people were caught off guard that the music, videos and overall presentation were all on point. With a string of well directed videos from up-comer Slick Jackson, Nakim displays his flashy sense of style accompanied with sharp lyrics that immediately give you a visual of who Nakim is and were he can take his sound.

Balancing much on her plate, Rosa Acosta shows that she is flexible in all aspects. Before taking the New York City night, Rosa took the time out to catch up with Blow! at Community 54, LES’s newest locker for vintage swag. The seductive fitness instructor, model, and actress was on the scene to host an in-store signing for her new 2012 stretching calendar, where she met with the long line of passionate aficionados who were in attendance.
Rosa touched on the process of making a calendar, mentioning that it’s all about finding that right twist. Although these stretches and twists will have anyone flipping months prematurely, Rosa has proven that her endeavors stem far beyond being eye-candy appeal. As she puts it herself, “anyone can do that.” Her dedicated work ethic is proven through her success in fitness competitions, extensive workout regiment, and dedication to eating right. The sexy Dominicana also seeks to take on the acting game, as she has already committed to a film project, Los Blancos, a story about two Columbian sisters who overtake their family business of pushing the raw and uncut. Having already made fiends out of many through her online presence, Rosa is certain to advance the Acosta movement with a devoted drive to accompany her alluring beauty.
